Teaching Assignment Resources for Matched Fellows and Faculty Mentors
Welcome to the Teaching Assignment
You have now been paired with a fellow or faculty mentor for the National Community College Cybersecurity Fellowship Program.
The teaching assignment is a collaborative experience in which the fellow designs and delivers a cybersecurity-related lesson and the faculty mentor provides guidance, feedback, and an authentic community college teaching opportunity. The goal is to help the fellow develop as an emerging cybersecurity educator through guided mentorship and real-world instructional practice.
What Is the Teaching Assignment?
The teaching assignment is a collaborative experience between a Fellowship participant and a community college faculty mentor. Fellows gain hands-on teaching experience by developing and delivering a cybersecurity-related lesson, while mentors provide guidance, feedback, and support throughout the process.
